First-Ever European Weekly Internet Ratings Launched

Jupiter Media Metrix, a global leader in Internet and new technology analysis and measurement, today announced that its European affiliate, Jupiter MMXI, has launched the first ever weekly Internet audience ratings data for Europe. Number one properties among countries measured weekly by Jupiter MMXI include T-Online sites in Germany, Wanadoo sites in France, Infostrada sites in Italy and Microsoft sites in the United Kingdom for the week ending June 17.

European Weekly Flash Highlights:

- Multinational properties, Microsoft and Yahoo! are among the top five properties measured on a weekly basis within each of the four countries.
- Among those countries, Germany has the highest number (10,057,000) of total weekly unique visitors and 142.7 average unique pages viewed per visitor, the highest overall.
- While the United Kingdom has the second highest number of total unique visitors (9,934,000) for the week, it has the lowest number (94.9) of average weekly pages viewed per person compared with the number in Germany, France and Italy.

"The Jupiter MMXI Weekly Flash for Europe is a timely, insightful complement to our company's flagship monthly audience ratings products in Europe," said Mary Ann Packo, group president, global strategy and marketing, Jupiter Media Metrix. "Weekly Internet audience measurement ratings are an important tool for measuring fluctuations in traffic driven by periodic advertising and marketing campaigns and serve as an effective gauge for shorter-term media planning."
